Van donation from Child-Help Germany – Sept, 2023

During the parents’ stay at House of Hope Kitongo, Child-Help Tanzania’s team makes sure that the children receive timely care and treatment. They provide transport to the designated health center, Bugando Regional Referral Hospital, for a weekly scheduled appointment, and also during emergencies. A trip from Kitongo to Bugando Hospital takes about 3 hours on a good day. The distance and transportation can be challenging especially during emergencies that later lead to an unavoidable overbudget. After noticing these setbacks and minor diversions, Child-Help Germany, through Child-Help International, have donated a vehicle to House of Hope Kitongo in order to facilitate these trips.
